We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
