Noah (Nooh)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
We sent Noah to his People (with the Command): "Do thou warn thy People before there comes to them a grievous Penalty." 1 He said: O my people! Surely I am a plain warner to you: 2 “That you must worship Allah and fear Him, and obey me.” 3 Allah will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allah, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew.' " 4 He said, "My Lord! I have called my people night and day 5 "But my call only increases (their) flight (from the Right). 6 “And whenever I called them, so that You may forgive them, they always thrust their fingers into their ears, and covered themselves with their clothes, and remained stubborn and were extremely haughty.” 7 Then verily I have called unto them publicly 8 Then I announced to them and [also] confided to them secretly 9 "Ask for forgiveness of your Lord," I said. "Surely, He is the Forgiver. 10 He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers 11 "'Give you increase in wealth and sons; and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers (of flowing water). 12 What is [the matter] with you that you do not attribute to Allah [due] grandeur 13 While He has created you in stages? 14 See ye not how Allah hath created seven heavens in harmony, 15 setting in them the moon as a light and the sun as a lantern? 16 And Allah hath caused you to grow as a growth from the earth, 17 then He shall return you into it, and bring you forth. 18 And Allah hath made the earth unto you an expanse. 19 That of it ye may traverse the ways open. 20
