The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
