۞ People, it is you who are in need of Allah. He is the Rich, the Praised. 15 If He will, He can be rid of you and bring (instead of you) some new creation. 16 And this not at all difficult for Allah. 17 And no burdened soul will carry another soul’s burden; and if a burdened soul calls another to share the burden, no one will carry any part of it, even if he is a close relative; O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), your warning only benefits those who fear their Lord without seeing and who keep the prayer established; and whoever cleansed himself, has cleansed for his own benefit; and towards Allah only is the return. 18 The blind and the sighted are not equal, 19 the shadows and the light, 20 Nor the shade and the sun's heat. 21 And not equal are the living and the dead! Indeed Allah causes them to listen*, whomever He wills; and you cannot make those who are in the graves** listen. (* Listen to guidance **The disbelievers are referred to as dead, whose fates are sealed.) 22 You are simply a warner. 23 Verily, We have sent thee with the truth, as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner: for there never was any community but a warner has [lived and] passed away in its midst. 24 If they reject you, (know that) others who lived before them had also rejected their Messengers, Messengers who had brought them miracles, scriptures, and the enlightening Book 25 Then I took hold of those who disbelieved. So how terrible was My disapproval! 26
