He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Prophet frowned and turned away 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 But the self-sufficient, 5 So you are after him! 6 although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity; 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 And whereas he fears, 9 you ignore him. 10 Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment, 11 So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. 12 On honourable pages. 13 exalted and purified, 14 by the hands of the noble, virtuous, 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what thing doth He create him? 18 From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions; 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 Then He caused him to die and made him to be buried. 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 Not one he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 So man must look at his food. 24 We poured down rain abundantly, 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 Thereby produced grain in it. 27 And grapes and fodder, 28 And olive-trees and palm-trees 29 and dense-tree'd gardens, 30 And fruits and herbage: 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 But when the deafening cry comes, 33 Man will fly from his brother, 34 Mother and father, 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). 37 on that Day some faces will be beaming, 38 laughing and joyous 39 And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, 40 and covered by darkness. 41 those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
