Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to be parted [from misbelief] until there came to them clear evidence - 1 a Messenger from Allah, reciting from Purified Scrolls; 2 Within which are correct writings. 3 Nor did the People of the Book make schisms, until after there came to them Clear Evidence. 4 And they were not enjoined anything except that they should serve Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience, upright, and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and that is the right religion. 5 Those of the deniers of truth among the People of the Book and the polytheists will dwell forever in Hell-fire. They are the worst of creatures. 6 Those who have faith and do righteous deeds,- they are the best of creatures. 7 Their reward is – with their Lord – everlasting Gardens of Eden beneath which rivers flow, in which they will abide for ever and ever; Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him; this is for one who fears his Lord. 8
