The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 Their brother Lot asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 161 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 162 so fear God and obey me. 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 Except an old woman, among those who remained behind. 171 then We totally destroyed the rest, 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
