Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 That Hell is surely one of the greater signs, 35 it is a warning to man, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 Of evil-doers: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until death approached us". 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
