Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 watching over you 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
