Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
