The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers, 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 who guard their privates, 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
