Truly, the God-fearing shall dwell amid gardens and fountains -- 45 [Having been told], "Enter it in peace, safe [and secure]." 46 And [by then] We shall have removed whatever unworthy thoughts or feelings may have been [lingering] in their breasts, [and they shall rest] as brethren, facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 47 Toil cometh not unto them there, nor will they be expelled from thence. 48 ۞ Declare (O Muhammad SAW) unto My slaves, that truly, I am the Oft-Forgiving, the Most-Merciful. 49 But My punishment is surely a painful one. 50 And tell them about the guests (the angels) of Ibrahim (Abraham). 51 When they came to Abraham they said: "Peace be upon you!" He replied: "Indeed we feel afraid of you." 52 Said they: "Fear not! Behold, we bring thee the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son who will be endowed with deep knowledge." 53 Abraham asked, "Are you giving me the glad news of a son in my old age? What reason can you give for such glad news?" 54 They said: "We give thee glad tidings in truth: be not then in despair!" 55 [Abraham] exclaimed: "And who - other than those who have utterly lost their way - could ever abandon the hope of his Sustainer's grace?" 56 He said, “And what is your next task, O the sent angels?” 57 They said, 'We have been sent unto a people of sinners, 58 barring Lot's household, all of whom, behold, we shall save 59 all together, excepting his wife -- we have decreed, she shall surely be of those that tarry.' 60
