The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 and do not diminish the goods of the people, and do not make mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said: "You are no more than one of those who have been bewitched, 185 Thou art but a mortal like us, and lo! we deem thee of the liars. 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." 188 But they gave him the lie. And thereupon suffering overtook them on a day dark with shadows: and verily, it was the suffering of an awesome day! 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 191
