Al-Najm 3 of 3
So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 He plunged the villages 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
