And We did not create the heaven and the earth and what is between them in vain; that is the opinion of those who disbelieve then woe to those who disbelieve on account of the fire. 27 [For,] would We treat those who have attained to faith and do righteous deeds in the same manner as [We shall treat] those who spread corruption on earth? Would We treat the God-conscious in the same manner as the wicked? 28 It is a Blessed Book that We have sent down to you (Prophet Muhammad), so that those possessed with minds might ponder its verses and remember. 29 And We gave to Dawood Sulaiman, most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah). 30 When well-bred horses, which were fleet of foot were paraded before him near the close of day, 31 And he said: "Alas! I did love the good (these horses) instead of remembering my Lord (in my 'Asr prayer)" till the time was over, and (the sun) had hidden in the veil (of night). 32 He then ordered, “Bring them back to me”; and he began caressing their shins and necks. 33 And We certainly tried Solomon and placed on his throne a body; then he returned. 34 Saying: "O Lord, forgive me, and give me such a dominion as none will merit after me. You are the great bestower." 35 Then We subjected to him the wind: it ran gently by his command withersoever he directed. 36 as well as all the rebellious forces [that We made to work for him] - every kind of builder and diver 37 and others that were bound with chains. 38 This is Our gift, so bestow thou or withhold, without rendering an account. 39 And he has a place near to Us, and a fine return. 40
