The Embryo (Al-Alaq)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 No indeed; if he does not desist, We shall drag him by the forelock; 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 We will now call the guards! 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
