Hizb 28
< random >
۞ Allah has commanded: "Do not take two gods; for He is but One God. So fear Me alone." 51 And His is all that is in the heavens and on earth, and to Him [alone] obedience is always due: will you, then, pay reverence to aught but Him? 52 Whatever favor you have is from Allah. Whenever you are afflicted you groan to Him. 53 Then, when He removes the affliction from you, lo, a party of you assign associates to their Lord, 54 So they will deny what We have given them. Then enjoy yourselves, for you are going to know. 55 They set aside a portion of the food We have given them for those they do not know. By God, you will surely have to answer for all you contrive! 56 And they assign unto Allah daughters - Be He Glorified! - and unto themselves what they desire; 57 When news is brought to one of them, of (the birth of) a female (child), his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief! 58 Skulking from the people because of the evil of that which hath been announced unto him: shall he keep it with ignominy or bury it in the dust? Lo! vile is that which they judge! 59 The attribute of evil applies to those who do not believe in the Hereafter, while to God applies the highest attribute, for He is Mighty, the Wise. 60
