And a sign for them is the dead land, that We quickened and brought forth from it grain, whereof they eat; 33 And We have made therein gardens of date-palms and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein. 34 So that they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Glory be to Him, who created all the pairs of what the earth produces, and of themselves, and of what they know not. 36 And a sign for them is the night; We strip the day out of it, thereupon they are in darkness. 37 how the sun moves in its orbit and this is the decree of the Majestic and All-knowing God; 38 We have ordained phases for the moon until finally it becomes like an old date-stalk. 39 It behoves not the sun to overtake the moon, neither does the night outstrip the day, each swimming in a sky. 40 And a sign for them is that We lodged them in a laden ship, while they were in their forefathers backs. 41 And We have created for them the like of it, what they will ride on. 42 And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued 43 Unless by mercy from Us and as comfort for a while. 44 When it is said to them: 'Have fear of that which is before you and behind you in order that you find mercy' 45 Yet there never comes to them any sign of their Lord's signs, but they turn away from it. 46 Thus, when they are told, "Spend on others out of what God has provided for you as sustenance," those who are bent on denying the truth say unto those who believe, "Shall we feed anyone whom, if [your] God had so willed, He could have fed [Himself]? Clearly, you are but lost in error!" 47 Further, they say, "When will this promise (come to pass), if what ye say is true?" 48 They are awaiting only for one Cry to seize them while they are yet disputing, 49 Therefore neither able to make a will, nor returning to their homes. 50
