Al-Najm 3 of 3
HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 And you are lost in play! 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
