Destiny (Al-Qadr)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after He Frowned ('Abasa) before The Sun (Al-Shams)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

We sent it [Quran] down on the Night of Destiny. 1 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Night of Power is! 2 The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, (i.e. 83 years and 4 months). 3 The angels and Jibreel descend in it by the permission of their Lord for every affair, 4 Peace!... This until the rise of morn! 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
