Surely We have sent down to thee the Book with the truth, so that thou mayest judge between the people by that God has shown thee. So be not an advocate for the traitors; 105 And seek God's forgiveness, for God is surely forgiving and kind. 106 Do not plead for those who are dishonest to themselves; Allah does not love him who betrays trust and persists in sin. 107 They may hide (their crimes) from men, but they cannot hide (them) from Allah, for He is with them (by His Knowledge), when they plot by night in words that He does not approve, And Allah ever encompasses what they do. 108 Ah! These are the sort of men on whose behalf ye may contend in this world; but who will contend with Allah on their behalf on the Day of Judgment, or who will carry their affairs through? 109 Yet he who does evil or [otherwise] sins against himself, and thereafter prays God to forgive him, shall find God much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace: 110 Whosoever earns a sin, he only earns it against himself. Allah is the Knower, the Wise. 111 But whoever earns an offense or a sin and then blames it on an innocent [person] has taken upon himself a slander and manifest sin. 112
