(The nation of) Aad belied their Messengers. 123 When their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 125 so fear you God, and obey you me. 126 I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 127 What, you build a monument on every hill merely for fun 128 and raise strong mansions as if you were to live forever? 129 And when ye seize, ye seize like unto tyrants. 130 So fear you God, and obey you me; 131 and fear Him who has succoured you with what you know, 132 Gave you increase of cattle and sons, 133 and gardens, and springs -- 134 "Truly I fear for you the Penalty of a Great Day." 135 They said, 'Alike it is to us, whether thou admonishest, or art not one of the admonishers; 136 This is but a fable of the men of old, 137 They rejected him and We destroyed them. 138 In this there is evidence (of the Truth), yet most of them do not have any faith. 139 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 140
