The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 Recall, when Shuayb said to them: "Have you no fear? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So fear God and follow me. 179 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 And weigh with the true balance. 182 Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. 183 Fear Him who created you, and the generations of the ancients.' 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 Then make fragments of the heaven fall upon us, if thou art of the truthful. 187 He said, "My Lord knows all that you do." 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 190 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
