▼ 52 The Mountain
Al-Toor 2 of 2
So exhort (them, O Prophet), for by your Lord's Grace, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Or do they say, 'He is a poet for whom we await Fate's uncertainty'? 30 Tell them: "Keep on expecting, I am expecting with you." 31 Or, do their intellects order them to do this? Or, are they an insolent people? 32 Or do they say: "He has fabricated it?" In fact, they will never believe. 33 Let them bring a discourse like thereunto, if they say sooth. 34 Have they been created from nothing or are they themselves their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and earth? Nay, but they have not sure faith. 36 Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]? 37 Have they a stairway whereby they overhear? Then let their listener bring an authority manifest. 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask a wage from them (for your preaching of Islamic Monotheism) so that they are burdened with a load of debt? 40 Or possess they the Unseen so that they can write (it) down? 41 Or desire they to outwit? The unbelievers, they are the outwitted. 42 Or do they have a god apart from God? He is too exalted for what they associate with Him! 43 Even if they saw lumps falling from the sky they would say: 'A massed cloud' 44 So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible - 45 A day in which their guile will naught avail them, nor will they be helped. 46 And indeed for the unjust is another punishment before this, but most of them do not know. (Punishment in the grave is proven by this verse.) 47 And be patient under the Judgement of your Lord, surely, you are before Our Eyes. And exalt with the praise of your Lord when you arise, 48 and exalt Him in the night and at the declining of the stars. 49

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
