NAY, but consider the moon! 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 in Gardens they will question 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
