Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble scribes 11 They know all that you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
