Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
