The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the pluckers (the angels of death), violently plucking (the souls of the unbelievers), 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 and gathered his people together 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
