The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
