The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event takes place, 1 and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence 2 abasing [some,] exalting [others]! 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 you shall be divided into three parties, 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 Those on the Left -- how unlucky are those on the Left! 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 Many of them will be from the ancient people 13 And a few of later ages, 14 On studded thrones. 15 reclining on them facing each other; 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 And fruit of what they select 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And wide eyed houris 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 The reward for what they did. 24 They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin - 25 But only the saying of: Salam!, Salam! (greetings with peace)! 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 And clusters of banana plants. 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 and flowing water 31 And fruit abundant. 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 and made them virgins, 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
