The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
