The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
