The unbelievers say: "When we become dust, we and our forefathers, shall we really be brought out (from our graves)? 67 Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore." 68 Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." 69 And grieve you not for them, nor be straitened (in distress) because of what they plot. 70 They also say: "Tell us when this threat will come to pass, if you are truthful." 71 Say thou: belike close behind you may be some of that which ye would hasten on. 72 Surely, your Lord is bountiful to the people; yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 And verily thine Lord knoweth whatsoever their breasts conceal and whatsoever they make known. 74 There is nothing that is hidden - be it in the heaven or the earth - but is recorded in a Clear Book. 75 Surely this Qur'an explains to the Children of Israel most of the matters concerning which they have disagreements 76 It is a guide and mercy for the believers. 77 Indeed your Lord will decide between them by His judgement. He is All-Mighty, All-Knowing. 78 Hence, place thy trust in God [alone] - for, behold, that in which thou believest is truth self-evident. 79 Surely you do not make the dead to hear, and you do not make the deaf to hear the call when they go back retreating. 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ And when the time for the fulfilment of Our Word against them will come, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth who will speak to them because people did not believe in Our Signs. 82
