The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
