In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. 1 created Man of a blood-clot. 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 Has taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay! man is most surely inordinate, 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 for, behold, unto thy Sustainer all must return. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 A votary when he (turns) to pray? 10 Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) 11 Or enjoineth piety? 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 No indeed; do thou not obey him, and bow thyself, and draw nigh. ۩ 19
