Surely the people of al-Hijr also rejected the Messengers, calling them liars. 80 We gave them Our signs, but they turned away from them. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 We have indeed bestowed on you the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Qur'an. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 for whatever they have done! 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
