The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the bright forenoon, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
