Blessed is He who, if that were His will, could give thee better (things) than those,- Gardens beneath which rivers flow; and He could give thee palaces (secure to dwell in). 10 They deny the Hour of Doom so We have prepared for them a burning fire. 11 When it shall come into their sight from a distant place, they shall hear its vehement raging and roaring. 12 And when they are flung into a narrow place thereof, chained together, they pray for destruction there. 13 But they will be told, "Do not call today for one death, call for many deaths!" 14 Say: "Is that best, or the eternal garden, promised to the righteous? for them, that is a reward as well as a goal (of attainment). 15 Living there for ever, they shall find in it all that they desire. That is a promise binding upon your Lord, and to be asked of Him. 16 And on the day when He shall gather them, and whatever they served besides Allah, He shall say: Was it you who led astray these My servants, or did they themselves go astray from the path? 17 They will say; hallowed be Thou! it behoved us not that we should take beside Thee any patron, but Thou allowedest them and their fathers enjoyment until they forgat the admonition, and they were a people doomed. 18 God will say (to the idolaters), "Your idols have rejected your faith. You cannot avoid their rejection nor can you find any help. Anyone of you who commits injustice will be made to suffer a great torment." 19 And the messengers whom We sent before thee were all (men) who ate food and walked through the streets: We have made some of you as a trial for others: will ye have patience? for Allah is One Who sees (all things). 20
