'Aad denied the messengers 123 When their brother Hud said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 I am for you an honest Messenger. 125 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 126 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists). 127 Build ye on every eminence a landmark in vanity? 128 and make for yourselves mighty castles, [hoping] that you might become immortal? 129 And if ye seize by force, seize ye as tyrants? 130 So fear Allah and obey me. 131 Fear Him who has given you all the things you know. 132 succoured you with flocks and sons, 133 "And Gardens and Springs. 134 Verily I fear for you the torment of a Mighty Day. 135 They said: "It is the same to us whether thou admonish us or be not among (our) admonishers! 136 This is not but the custom of the former peoples, 137 “And we will not be punished.” 138 In this there is evidence (of the Truth), yet most of them do not have any faith. 139 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 140
