The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ TA SIN. THESE are the verses of the Qur'an, and collection of explicit laws, 1 A guidance and good news for the believers, 2 Who fulfil their devotional obligations, pay the zakat, and believe with certainty in the life to come. 3 Verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds fair-seeming to them, so they wander about blindly. 4 They are those who will suffer the worst chastisement in this life, and will be the greatest losers in the life to come. 5 As to thee, the Qur'an is bestowed upon thee from the presence of one who is wise and all-knowing. 6 (Remember) when Moosa said to his wife, “I have sighted a fire; I will soon bring its news to you, or bring for you an ember from it so that you may warm yourselves.” 7 But when he came to the (fire), a voice was heard: "Blessed are those in the fire and those around: and glory to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 8 O Moses, indeed it is I - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise." 9 “And put down your staff”; so when he saw it writhing like a serpent, he turned moving away without looking back; We said, “O Moosa, do not fear; indeed the Noble Messengers do not fear in My presence.” 10 “Except the one* who does injustice and then after evil changes it for virtue – then indeed I am Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Other than the Prophets.) 11 Put your hand into your pocket. It will come out sheer white but unharmed. This is one of the nine miracles which shall be showing to the Pharaoh and his people; they are truly wicked men." 12 And when Our signs came as distinct proofs, they said: "This is only magic." 13 and they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, wrongfully and out of pride. Behold, how was the end of the workers of corruption! 14
