Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
