Al-Insan 2 of 2
Truly, it is We who have revealed to you the Quran, a gradual revelation. 23 Therefore wait patiently for the command of your Lord, and obey not from among them a sinner or an ungrateful one. 24 And celebrate the name of thy Lord morning and evening, 25 Prostrate before Him and glorify Him extensively during the night. 26 Surely these men love the hasty world, and leave be behind them a heavy day. 27 It is We Who created them, and We have made them of strong built. And when We will, We can replace them with others like them with a complete replacement. 28 Verily this is an admonition; then whosoever will, may choose a way unto his Lord. 29 And ye will not, unless Allah willeth. Verily Allah is ever Knowing, Wise. 30 He maketh whom He will to enter His mercy, and for evil-doers hath prepared a painful doom. 31
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
