Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 What will his wealth avail him, and all that he has gained? 2 He shall soon enter a Blazing Fire, 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
