Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
