The people of Lut belied the sent ones. 160 Recall, when their brother Lot said to them: "Have you no fear? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates. Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits." 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
