۞ No! I swear by the positions of the stars 75 And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great. 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 In a book that is protected 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, 86 Bring back the soul (to its body), if you are truthful? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 Then is relief, and flowers and Gardens of peace. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
