The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 178 I ask of you no wage for this; 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who give less (than the due). 181 And weigh with the true balance. 182 and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land, 183 Fear He who created you, and the generations of the ancient' 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 (Shu'aib) said: "My Lord knows well what you are doing." 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 190 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 191
