And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 upon thy heart, that thou mayest be one of the warners, 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 and then what they were promised comes to them, 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 neither are they worthy of it, nor are they capable of it, 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 And admonish thy nearest kinsmen, 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves, 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Should I tell you on whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. 222 on those who whisper hearsay in the ears of people; and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
