Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
YA SIN. 1 By the Quran, full of wisdom (i.e. full of laws, evidences, and proofs), 2 that you (Muhammad) are a Messenger 3 on a straight path; 4 (The Qur’an is) Sent down by the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 5 so that you may warn a people whose ancestors were not warned before wherefore they are heedless. 6 Assuredly the word hath been justified against most of them, wherefore they shall not believe. 7 We have enchained their necks up to their chins. Thus, they cannot bend their heads (to find their way). 8 And We have set a wall before them and a wall behind them, and covered the top – so they are unable to see anything. 9 The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe. 10 You can only warn him who listens to the warning and fears Ar-Rahman secretly. So give him good news of forgiveness and a generous reward. 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
