And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) [through Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)]. 41 but they gave the lie to Our Signs, to all of them. Thereupon We seized them with the seizing of the Most Mighty, the Most Powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or do they say, 'We are a congregation that shall be succoured?' 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most grievous and bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 on the Day when they are dragged into the fire on their faces, it will be said to them, "Now feel the touch of Hell!" 48 We have indeed created all things by measure; 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you; is there any that will remember? 51 And everything they have wrought is in the Writs. 52 All things small or great have been written down. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 where they will be honourably seated in the presence of a King, Mighty in Power. 55
